Last night I was in the church praying in front of Jesus feeling somewhat tired from the ministry building of prayer and evangelisation in a world that frequently just doesn't seem to intendance and wants to be left solitary.
Evangelisation can certainly feel at times like the world is upside downwards and that past talking almost God that you are the bad guy!
Get out us alone with your guilt-tripping and talking about God, nosotros don't want your negatively, you're but some gullible fool that grew up in religious Ireland and believe in all that hocus pocus!!
Make no mistake about information technology, today's earth is very hostile to the message of Jesus and especially to whatsoever mention of sin, conversion and the dreaded give-and-take 'confession.
Very often Jesus is bundled into the basket of negative things together with any notion of right and wrong.
When you practice claiming the system they take it personally and try to turn information technology into a battle of egos. Yous believe in God, I don't, both our opinions are valid and at present exit me solitary!
If y'all say that you're opinion is non just from speculation merely from am experience with God, expect to exist cutting off and to be considered prideful and stubborn for holding your footing!
Then if this is how I feel from my ministry of evangelisation, how does God feel and what must information technology be similar for Him?

By denying God these people become enemies of the gospel and then Jesus pleads with them to wake upward and olfactory property the roses and to use the intelligence that God gave them for the good of the gospel and to make Jesus known rather than the opposite.
And so today may we pray for atheists and evangelists because the war is ugly and the stakes are high because every soul is extremely valuable to Jesus, even the soul of the hardest of atheists.

Good evening from Birmingham where we've merely spent the last day. What can I say about Birmingham?
Perhaps a shopkeeper summarised it for us when we asked him if he sold and souvenirs similar mugs or keyrings with Birmingham on them and he replied "No, you won't find any of that type of thing for Birmingham".
And that sums it upwardly really, nothing boggling or exciting and non even a keyring to mark its existence!
That said the people were pleasant and it was dainty to get out of London even if only for a day.
We did become to mass this morning in Chad's Cathedral where we learn a fascinatingly story of how a bomb striking the Cathedral during the state of war and burst a radiator, the h2o from which extinguished the fire and saved the Cathedral! God certainly works in mysterious ways.
Today's gospel continued on the theme of obedience to the will of God rather than cede and information technology reminded me of the readings at mass over the last week from the 2nd book of Samuel.
The people were grumbling to Samuel that they wanted a rex and that they "wanted to be like the other nations".
Samuel was disgusted by them because up to that point God was leading them direct through the prophets because they were his people and he didn't want them to exist like everyone else!
God warned them that a king would oppress them and brand slaves out of them simply they wouldn't mind and insisted that they wanted to be like everyone else.
Eventually God said "then be it" and warned that one day they would cry to him in despair and that he would not listen.
It got me thinking of my own life and indeed your life too and the terrible temptation to "exist similar anybody else" and to reject God in an try to fit in and to be accustomed.
Whether it'southward to talk like everybody else or to deed like everybody else or to buy the same clothes as everybody else or to live a life without prayer similar everybody else….there certainly is a temptation to pass up God and to continue with the crowd.
And even in church circles there is also the temptation to go along with the crowd rather than discerning God's individual and personal calling for each one of us.
This is especially true in my area of ministry where often gay people are taught that they are utterly disordered and that they should aspire to be like "everybody else".
Years can be spent trying to heal the "unwanted same sex attraction" when the trouble was never with the aforementioned sex attraction but the problem was with the "unwanted" part"!
Just like the people of Israel couldn't delight God past going confronting God's programme for them and choosing a king of their own liking, neither can gay people still practiced their intentions may be ever really please God and obey his plan for their lives if they continue to reject their gayness.
The secret of making peace with oneself and with God isn't about being similar everyone else, it's about being who God made each one of u.s.a. to be and existence obedient to that.
The devil often has a field day tricking people and deceiving people into thinking that they are doing God's will when in fact they are doing the opposite!
I know for example lots of gay catholic men who alive in the closet and wait downwards their noses on Seamus and I because in their eyes they are living lives of self sacrifice.
Yet God would say to this miserable lot "I don't want your sacrifice, I desire your obedience".
In other words, stop lording your so chosen 'sacrifice' and self righteousness over anybody else and really accept yourself and larn to love!
A miserable frown from sacrifices isn't a fruit of the Holy Spirit only actually a sign of inner rebellion where a soul is actually refusing somehow to exercise God's will.
Information technology's easier to sit in the pews and go through all the devotionals and prayers like anybody else while looking pious rather than stepping out from the crowd and being counted.
In Medjugorje Our Lady is calling for such heroic people to be her apostles of love and to be obedient to her and the private callings that she has for each i of usa and of course sacrifice is a part of this but is not the essence, obedience to the will of God is always the essence and annihilation we do in our hearts for God with dearest will ever give us deep inner peace no matter how difficult it may be and how much we may struggle with it.
Then all of us must exist very careful for both our own spiritual lives and the lives of others that nosotros are not putting prayers and sacrifices before the volition of God and teaching others to exercise the same.
Practice nosotros spend enough time discerning God's individual will for our lives or are we merely blathering off prayers similar parrots?
Are nosotros continuing to seek out our own on-going inner healing with the help of a spiritual managing director with whom we are vulnerable and honest or have nosotros become our own spiritual directors and camouflaging our wills as God's?
The best mode to know is to ask if nosotros have joy in our hearts because true holy spirit blazon joy does not come from endless and often mindless sacrifices and prayers, it comes from obedience to the heart and will of God!
Then don't be a miserable catholic lording your misery and prayers and sacrifices over the rest of u.s. when we're laughing and smile with Jesus but instead pray that y'all as well will find the inner joy that comes from obeying God and non existence like everyone else!

Yesterday I was on London's Oxford Street where one always stumbles beyond some pretty extreme preachers.
"Give your life to Jesus or burn in the lake of burn" read one of the posters while further upwards the street a man walked about with "why are you lot all Satan'due south cattle?"
And this I contrasted with the beautiful Medjugorje day of healing that nosotros had earlier that morn!
Our Lady never says things similar "repent or burn' nor does she insult people and yet what she does do is she cries and prays for the conversion of those 'who accept not even so experienced God'southward honey'.
She understands that without some sort of conversion experience that one only can't give their life to Jesus.
There is then much data out there and so many different theories about God that unless people receive some sort of grace they tin't simply say "Jesus is God and the residue is all lies"

Nonetheless in these times Our Lady isn't so much asking us to stand on the streets and preach about hell but she is asking us all to beloved like Jesus and to allow our love and our deportment do the talking.
When nosotros put love first, opportunities then open up upwardly naturally for us to share about our organized religion and our beliefs and while we demand not shout and roar about it we tin can say firmly and resolutely that nosotros believe in Jesus and that he is the way, the truth and the life.
So let's be very careful not to take whatever delight in hell equally if somehow nosotros could never have gone at that place ourselves because only by grace are we saved.
Similarly let us not judge anyone or presume that they will become to hell considering Jesus gives some people boggling graces of conversion on their deathbeds but equally he did with the expert thief on the cantankerous.
Each soul is infinitely precious to Jesus and Jesus does not allow any soul to go to hell without pleading with them to have his salvation and pleading with us to pray for them.
Let united states of america remind ourselves every day of all the graces we have received in our own lives and from this identify of truth and humility let usa pray for those who "have non yet experienced the beloved of God".

Are you ane of those people that doesn't similar eating alone or walking into a bar or a restaurant on your ain?
Do you feel that there is a sign over your head reading "loser with no friends"?
Every bit I sit down here on my ain this lunchtime I reflect just how much Jesus has changed my life.
Rayne is away for a few days enjoying the Cottswald area and while I'd like to accept gone it only wasn't possible this time and then I'm having a quick lunch on my own for the first fourth dimension in ages!
Ironically I used to be i of those people that would never go to a bar or eatery on my own or if I did I'd be acutely conscious of others effectually me who actually had friends.
What changed y'all may ask?
Jesus is the answer.
Earlier having Jesus in my life I didn't know where to wait or what to do during those awkward moments when I was solitary but when Jesus arrived everything changed considering he'd talk away to me no thing where I was.
Maybe in hindsight this is how God was training me to hear his voice because I spent endless hours alone and ate alone all over the world for years.
Living on providence and being gay while seeing spirits made sure that whatsoever any given time that I had few friends, it was too much for well-nigh people to handle and it still is for many and even so into this void came Jesus, the friend of weirdos!
Of grade at times I still struggle with my life and this unusual calling that God has given me that makes me different from other people. Some days I'd simply like to be "normal", for it all to stop, to check out!
People tin can be cruel and insensitive and at times one feels invisible.
People get used to you speaking of spiritual things and living on providence and soon enough they become immune! It'due south like some have not just had a Covid 19 vaccination only likewise a Jesus vaccination.
One feels the pain of Jesus, alive but ignored, spiritual but disregarded and one understands that the spirit of this earth really wants nothing to do with any mention of God.
At times when ane does mention God 1 is accused of being negative and spoiling the fun, after all who wants to hear of repentance or sin or prayer?!
So where do nosotros go when we are rejected and excluded by all and sundry because of out faith?
We turn to Jesus and we unite our struggle with his and we pay no attention to the evil spirit trying to sink us and we remind ourselves that we are loved and understood by God even if by nobody else.
We seek him in prayer, we receive him at mass and he will wipe our tears and strengthen us for the journey as we wait for the day that he will take us home and when we will be surrounded by the angels and saints in sky and will no longer sit alone and invisible in a world that has rejected God.
And so let us exist confident and go out and have that cup of tea or coffee on our ain and let u.s. testify the world that it'due south OK not to be popular, non to be the life and soul of the party and non to have many friends because nosotros accept the i friend that matters across all others, Jesus.

Final night we had a mass and evening of prayer dedicated to Saint Joseph and later the mass Brenda gave a little talk on the importance of praying to our guardian angels, especially at night fourth dimension.
Night time tin can be the time when alone in our beds in the dark that we become aware of the problems in our lives and when Satan and his demons try to use the same issues to sinks into a pit of worry, anxiety and low!
Make no mistake nigh it, if Satan had his way he'd have us all requite upward our faith and kill ourselves. His food is our total and utter destruction and he doesn't possess one ounce of mercy or pity. Pleading or appealing to Satan or his demons to leave usa alone is utterly pointless, they have no limits or mercy.
So what to do then when at nighttime or in the middle of January when the weather condition is cold and nighttime and many people are tiresome in mood?!
Brenda told us terminal night! Call on your guardian angel!
Possibly final night God wanted me to attempt this out for myself becaus I was alone in my room and was feeling a little fleck agitated and alone.
I began praying to the angels and all all of a sudden I felt a great presence and tranquility in the room as I could experience about 5 giant angels gathered around me.
While they didn't talk much, I understood that they were not at that place to talk to me every bit a homo being might, they were there to go along me company and to let me know that I wasn't alone.
Now at times nosotros see angels as gentle trivial things and demons as strong and ugly monsters but this isn't true! Many of the Holy angles are bigger, stronger and more terrifying than whatever of the demons and when the demons come across them they run like scared mice from a cat.
Satan always works off fear and he does everything to exaggerate his own ability while trying to make us incertitude the power of God and the Holy angels and saints.
Our fright is actually the only weapon that he has against usa which is why Jesus wants united states of america to trust in Him and to walk (and sleep) peacefully.
Yet our brokenness and areas of our souls that however haven't been sanctified practise fear and this is why we demand the help of the angels to strengthen us and to reassure us.
With this type of attitude we can move from lonliness to aloneness and find peace and tranquillity at every moment because we are never really alone and accept more friends in sky helping us than on earth!
And so continue to call on the angels during this common cold and nighttime January and let'due south keep our spirits lifted and be spreaders of hope and joy no affair where we go!

Our Lady
My children, equally my apostles of dear yous will come to see your weaknesses and fragilities and limits but even so I call yous to await to heaven.
God chooses what seems weak and insignificant in the eyes of the world to do his nearly powerful piece of work considering it is not nigh your human strength but near God's strength working through your humanity.
The weaker and more fragile and needy that y'all are in your humanity, the easier information technology will exist to surrender to God because you take no other choice.
Satan my children is not defeated by armies and chariots and muscles, he is defeated by prayer and humility and a centre surrendered to God.
And and then over again I return to prayer with the middle to empty your hearts of all blockages and to be strengthened past the Holy Spirit.

This morning Our Lady gave me a curt and sugariness message, that her love and the love and mercy of Jesus is for everyone.
"My children, my apostles of love, how I desire yous to be true to your proper noun and for you to honey others and teach them about the love and mercy of Jesus regardless of who they are or how they wearing apparel or who they live with or what religion or sexual orientation they are.
My apostles of love, past your dear you lot will be recognised as my children."
Easier said than done especially when you find yourself in a bar or beside someone in the shops covered from head to foot in tattoos and emitting a "keep away" vibe!
And all the same we must remind ourselves that they are just as much children of God as we are and that we cannot judge them or condemn them even if nosotros know that they live objectively sinful lives.
These experiences also provide us with the opportunity to reflect on our own conversions and inquire ourselves questions like
"Where would exist at present and what would I exist like if I hadn't been converted"
And
"If I had grown upwardly in that person's family and if I was gay or transgender or my parents were addicts…..what might I be like?"
These type of questions soften our hearts and remind usa that God had a lot of mercy on u.s. before we even knew about it and that nosotros take some things for granted when we say "I'd never exist like that person…"
Truth is that nosotros never know what nosotros might be capable of and we should remind ourselves that without Jesus' mercy we're all capable of being the worst of the worst sinners and and then in no position to guess anybody!
And and then with this in mind today let us endeavour to cast aside our pride and self-righteousness and allow ourselves to love across our comfort zones and exist true to the proper name Our Lady gives united states of america; 'apostles of beloved".

This morning Our Lady gave me a very powerful message loving her LGBT children.
"Every soul my kid is and then extremely precious to God. In your human eyes it may seem that there are then many people that God couldn't possibly treat each 1 simply this is not true!
In his omnipotence God knows each and every ane of you meliorate than a loving mother of only one child!
Each one of you lot is unique. There is and never volition exist some other you.
So many of you my children are struggling and then many of the young people feel so lost and then alone in a earth that seems endless in possibilities and even so empty of dear.
All sorts of bug ensue with depression, feet, drugs, promiscuity then many suicides.
My motherly heart breaks to see whatsoever soul have their life, ofttimes when pushed to the depths of despair in a world and then defective in beloved
This has been particularly true with the LGBT community where many have been driven out of their homes and out of the church past you lot my children!
Yous cannot act equally guards similar the brother of the prodigal son thinking that you are more entitled to God's dearest than any other soul.
You cannot approximate, bullly and exclude others and and then merits that you are my children.
If you love me, you will love my LGBT children too and you listen and learn. Y'all cannot force what you think is right or wrong on them. Each soul is unique and these souls are unlike and special.
Apologize my children for all areas where you have judged and refused to aid these souls and others and open broad your hearts to love each person with your hearts and build the church upwards to be a living temple of both prayer and dear"
Beautiful words and yet a stern warning from Our Lady that LGBT people are God's children too and must be given their identify in the family of God and loved and accustomed as they are without impossible conditions being imposed on them by other well-pregnant merely uninformed church goers.
Far too much time and energy at times has been spent describing the sins and faults of LGBT people without lifting a finger to help them and thus driving them further from the church and from God and Our Lady clearly is not happy virtually this at all.
She is reminding us that each soul is unique and that our chore is to help that uniqueness to grow and to flourish and to reach its potential and not to block it and stop it and twist it and turn it into an unbearable knot.
May Our Lady assist us to encounter our sins in this expanse of both commission and omission and may she utilize us to untie her LGBT children and bring them into the joy and liberty of existence loved and accepted children of God in our Cosmic church building.

In today'south gospel Jesus was baptised in the Jordan and the priest preached on the souvenir of baptism and asked us to consider our ain baptism.
Because most of us were baptised as little babies information technology's often not something that we tin either remember or appreciate the significance of!
Yet considering most of us brutal abroad from God and the church as we grew up, i thing is very obvious: baptism is non a one off "fix information technology all" experience.
In fact often you can run across people who have been baptised as kids and they are total and utter atheists and show absolutely no sign of anything holy or spiritual.

Well of course not just because baptism is the sacrament of initiation into the Christian life it's going to be rendered pretty much void if we are later raised in a non Christian or non prayerful surroundings.

Otherwise….
Another myth mayhap about baptism for at least some catholic parents is that somehow it will protect one's children from existence gay or transgender!
Is this truthful? Certainly not but there are some that believe in such things and thus make the Christian life very difficult for baptised gay people such every bit myself.
No thing how good or prayerful we may be, to them we are not truthful Christians and are sodmomites post-obit our passions….
This blazon of attitude from some religious people is further evidence that ane can be a practising baptised Christian and yet still be very judgemental and lacking in beloved.

Practice! Do makes perfect and the more we practise the Christian life, the more we pray and educate ourselves and read good spiritual reading and seek out sound advice, the more we volition learn what it's all about and truly be full of dearest for all whom nosotros come across regardless of who or what they are!
Fortunately through the church Jesus has given us lots of other sacraments and tools to help us and combined with personal prayer and reflection these grade the well travelled highway to sky taken past many a saint before us.
And even if the guitar of our baptism has been bandage aside in the rubbish dump of our lives for the final 20 years, the skilful news is that Jesus will never take it back and if ever y'all make up one's mind to pick it up and start learning the music of heaven again, Jesus and the church will be there to help you lot!
So whatsoever your situation today's message is unproblematic! Keep on practicing, keep on learning and let our lives be the music of sky.

Yesterday we had a cute day of prayer at the Church defended to the divine mercy and while way never see or know the fruits we must believe in the words of Jesus to Faustina and trust that in Jesus' eyes are days of prayer are extremely valuable.
That said we must be aware of the awful spiritual times that nosotros live in and of Satan'southward disgust and horror for our prayers.
Our Lady spoke to me this morning in this very topic:
"Our Lady
My children, Satan the enemy of your souls is fighting and so very hard to destroy you lot and to destroy everything Godly on earth.
He particularly hates when you pray and that is why he endeavours to discourage you, to confuse yous and to bombard your minds with all sorts of lark.
When you don't pray you are weak and Satan has groovy power over you.
Imagine going into a boxing fight both weak and hungry!
When you pray, you grow in strength and authority and Satan knows that you can do swell damage to his kingdom on earth.
He is a coward and a manipulator and he endeavours to confuse human beings and apply them for his evil purposes similar puppets.
Many people who are in favour of all sorts of evil acts such as abortion are to be pitied. They have been groomed for years by Satan and deceived into believing what is very evil is good and even holy.
Similarly, many of those who venenmously oppose the church have also been seduced by Satan and manipulated past the many awful scandals in the church such as sexual corruption.
Many of these people are in fact skilful people who are unaware of their participation in the plan of evil and they will not be judged harshly past my son who sees all and understands all.
Those in my son's church accept far greater responsibility because they are non in the same ignorance."
They too face very great persecution and intimidation to be silent and not to speak of spiritual things or sin and without a lot of prayer they will not have the force to persevere.
Pray my children peculiarly for your priests and dearest them and encourage them in every style yous can on the path of holiness and truth and the state of war against Satan and his lies."
Once again Our Lady is making the states aware of the power of prayer and the boxing there is against the forces of evil who volition stop at nix to destroy us by brainwashing and manipulating good people who lack spiritual insight.
Consoling also is that many of those who do Satan's bidding in the world of politics, medicine and the media will be treated with mercy past Jesus too who is enlightened of how cunning Satan is and how he has the ability to manipulate proficient people into doing very bad things under the disguise of doing expert.
And yet that said we must pray and oppose these people and their agendas passionately while at the aforementioned time not judging them and hoping for their conversions.
As the expression goes "Information technology's non that I don't like you, I don't similar your politics'".
