Hullo,

I am unable to login to AWS console with users created in IAM. The users belonged to an AdministratorAccess-policy Group, and all the times I tried to access the business relationship on the IAM users sign-in link I received a "Your authentication data was incorrect. Please try again." message.

Password was not an issue, every bit I copied the generated password from the downloaded file to the login class (I as well tried custom passwords for different users). The trouble occurred on dissimilar browsers, and I take been struggling with it for at to the lowest degree 2 hours. I concluded upwards erasing all the configurations and creating a new group / user, following the recipe on the "Creating an Administrators Group Using the Console" topic on IAM'south documentation, without any success. CloudTail messages were useless, as they simply told me what I already knew, that an authentication failure happened (it did not told me why it failed!).

How can I solve this effect?

Howdy. Pitiful to hear you lot're having bug. 1 thing to effort is to be sure you're signing in using the user signin panel, every bit described in this page of the docs:

How Users Sign Into Your Account

Other than that, you might try the following:

Sign in equally the account owner (using the email address and password that you used when y'all registered for AWS) and reset the password for the IAM user that you lot're trying to to use, as described here:

Creating, Changing, or Deleting an IAM User Password (AWS Management Console)

And so try using the IAM user sign-in console once again.

Brand sure that the IAM user you're trying to use has adequate permissions. (Information technology sounds similar you've done that, but it wouldn't injure to double check.) The admin policy looks like this:

Nosotros are seeing the same state of affairs. I take also added new IAM user and still go the aforementioned error.
I can apply my IAM user business relationship to log in on the root console page, but and so AWS wants my credit carte du jour information. That was done with the root user account when I created the IAM user. So what has inverse with AWS

Sorry you are having trouble. Can you confirm that your IAM users are using the IAM user sign-in link and not the root account sign-in link? For example, the URL might expect like this:

https://123456789012.signin.aws.amazon.com/console

Past default, the sign-in URL for your account includes your business relationship ID (replace 123456789012 with your account number)

Thank yous for confirming? Can you lot provide provide some more information about the machine configuration (e.yard., OS/Version, Browser/Version). Accept you also tried clearing your browser enshroud to determine if it makes a divergence?

Chrome 40.0.2214
Anti-virus - Symantec and Trend Micro - both tested on and off

We had updates pushed out this weekend and at present everything seems to be working.

I have been able to log in to multiple machines with dissimilar Bone'due south and browsers and information technology all seems to exist working correctly.

Please close any open up tickets on this result.

Hullo -
I am experiencing the same problem - IAM users cannot login. They receive an error message:

"Your authentication information was incorrect. Please endeavour once again."

I am using the right sign-in URL, which I copied from the root account IAM dashboard.
https://id.signin.aws.amazon.com/console

I have tried 3 different browsers which are all upwardly to date:
Microsoft Edge 20.10240.16384.0
IE 11.0.10240.16431
Chrome 46.0.2490.fourscore 1000

I have reset the countersign for the business relationship several times.
The user is in the "Administrators" enabled with "AdministratorAccess" policy.

Can you help / Do you have any suggestions?

Hey gang,

I was having this problem; I had the AdministratorAccess attached to a grouping and kept having this trouble; by applying this inline policy directly to the user, I was able to log in. Not the nigh user-friendly solution, only it works..

I had a similar issue. It was fixed in a strange manner.
My new IAM user has a predefined password. I changed the setting and forced the user to create a new password after login. Everything works later this changes.

You lot accept a root user account (ID). Right? IAM user is under root user Account and has permission all services from root user Business relationship. Then, get to the IAM user login.
Account ID or account alias - root user's ID or Name (if yous change customize login name, fill it. Find it a root user business relationship or root user login URL)
IAM User Name - fill the IAM user name that you created from the root account
Countersign - fill ( generated or customize password ). Next login, you lot have to modify the password if yous allow the next login. I hope to solve this IAM login fault.
